Coiste na nÓg – The ‘Rockies’ came to Dingle in U-12 county league last weekend, however Dingle soon proved their dominance with a comfortable score-line of Dingle 5-18, Stacks 4-7. Dingle were first out of the blocks with a goal from centre forward Conor Geaney after three minutes. This was followed by a point by Conor in the eighth minutes and a goal by Patrick Sheehy in the tenth. However the Tralee lads responded with three goals in the space of five minutes along with three points. The half time score was Dingle 4-17 Stacks 4-7. Davin Lynch played well in goal with Tom ‘Leo’ covering and clearing well at full back. The half back line of Cathal Sheehy, Luke McLarnan and particularly Mikey Boyle played some great football. Mark O’ Connor was outstanding at midfield with high fielding and intelligent distribution. His partner Aidan O’ Connor tackled, blocked and worked very hard.
